Get Knowledgeable Representation In Your Military Divorce

Military couples face some unique issues when they divorce, including the division of military retirement, health care benefits and survivor benefits. It is important to work with an experienced lawyer who can protect your interests during property division.

At The Law Offices of Keith E. Holloway, I represent military servicemen and women in the San Antonio area, including those at Fort Sam Houston and Lackland Air Force Base. I can also represent people in the Army Reserves and National Guard. In addition, I have represented the nonmilitary spouse in divorce. Speak with me to learn how I can help you. Special Considerations Of Military Benefits

Determining how much of the benefits the nonmilitary spouse is entitled to can be a challenge and can cause a lot of tension between the spouses. In addition, dividing military benefits is a different process than dividing benefits in a nonmilitary divorce, but I have experience with this process. I will work to protect your rights so the final division is as fair as possible.

I can also assist you with child custody matters, including temporary custody orders during military deployment. You can request that family members get regular visits with your children while you are deployed out of state or overseas. Allowing your family to spend time with the child maintains a balance of parenting time during deployment.

You also want an attorney to protect your rights during child support determination. Military housing allowances and clothing allowances can be used in the calculation of child support. It is critical for both parents and especially the child that child support is calculated fairly.
