Texas man accused of killing woman over child support

Creating a life is one of the beautiful experiences life has to offer. That little baby is so innocent and perfect it can make even the hardest of hearts melt. But bringing new life into this world is also a monumental undertaking that requires time, attention and, of course, plenty of money. There are diapers to buy, school tuitions to pay, medical needs to take care of and a host of extracurricular expenses that can add up. Sadly, for some parents the prospect of shelling out cash in the form of child support to take care of the life they created outweighs any sense of responsibility they feel.

Now, there are times when parents might feel like the amount they have to pay is exorbitant. They might feel like they’ve been unfairly treated by the courts. Rather than act out, however, the disgruntled parent may want to consider seeing an attorney who may be able to procure a child support modification. If you are facing a parent who is upset with child support arrangements, an attorney may also be able to mediate and work on a plan that both parties are in favor of.

Unfortunately, for one Texas family, this information fell on deaf ears. Police say a 37-year-old man was upset with having to pay child support and, instead of using the proper channels to air his grievances, he allegedly took matters into his own hands. He’s been charged with the murder of his child’s mother after her body was discovered in late July in Harris County. Police contend that he called the woman and lured her out of her home and then attacked her. He is facing charges of murder.

The tragedy here is that these children will be left without a mother or a father. If you are upset over your child support arrangement or are dealing with a parent who is resistant to the plan, a Texas attorney may be able to help you.
